Moise Katumbi begins his electoral campaign in the Democratic Republic of Congo with a powerful and hopeful speech

The electoral campaign is in full swing in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and it is the turn of candidate number 3, Moise Katumbi, to enter the scene. On Wednesday, he began his campaign in Greater Bandundu, in front of an enthusiastic crowd of activists and supporters.

During his interactive meeting at the esplanade of the Saint François Xavier parish, Moise Katumbi addressed the major concerns of the population, notably the lack of employment for young people, insufficient electricity despite the electrification project by the Kakobola dam since 2011, the depreciation of the Congolese franc against the American dollar and the increase in product prices on the markets. He accused those in power of having done nothing to Kikwit.

Vehemently, Moise Katumbi declared: “What have they done here? Zero, goodbye.” He highlighted the absence of construction of the Kikwit stadium, which should have been used to support young people in the field of sport. He denounced the fallacious promises and called on the population not to give another chance to those who have done nothing for the development of the region.

The candidate promised to address pressing issues, particularly regarding youth employment, and to put in place an anti-erosion policy to combat the problem of erosion heads in the city.

Moise Katumbi’s procession was almost attacked at the entrance to the city by uncivil young people, but his sympathizers managed to quickly disperse them.

This first stage of Moise Katumbi’s campaign in Bandundu was marked by a combative and hopeful speech. The candidate affirmed his experience and his love for all Congolese, affirming that God sent him on a mission to liberate the country. He called on the population to give him a chance, despite the criticism and insults from his opponents.

The electoral campaign in the Democratic Republic of Congo continues to spark tensions and passions, but candidates like Moise Katumbi are working to convince the Congolese people that they are ready to take charge of the country’s challenges and bring about change expected.

The next few days will be crucial for all presidential candidates, and the Congolese population is impatiently waiting to be able to exercise their right to vote and decide on the future of their country.
