Investors and business leaders in the South-East region are showing readiness to support Governor Dr. Peter Mbah’s growth and investment plans in Enugu State. They welcome the administration’s efforts to mobilize local economic leaders and reduce risks related to the state’s business environment, emphasizing that investments are directed where risks are lower and the return on investment is high.
This satisfaction is all the greater as the governor insists on the need to create synergy and promote regional cooperation for economic development. Indeed, according to him, the respect granted to a population outside its native land is proportional to the socio-economic growth of the latter.
At the inauguration of the Enugu Investors Network, a state government initiative aimed at mobilizing domestic investments, several business leaders expressed interest in participating in the collaboration. This first network forum also allowed Dr. Sam Onyishi, CEO of the Peace Group, to salute the governor’s efforts in the area of security.
He encouraged the Ndigbo to invest in their home areas, stressing that long-term security of Igbo investments can only be guaranteed in their own territory. He also stressed that the government was taking steps to address this concern, particularly by working on the issue of Monday sit-ins.
This testimony confirms the tendency of investors to want to be more involved in the economic growth of the South-East region. They recognize the importance of working in partnership with government to create a favorable and sustainable economic environment.
