Rex Kazadi Kanda, known for his commitment and his relentless fight against the regime of Joseph Kabila, announced his candidacy during an open letter addressed to the Congolese people.
In his correspondence, Rex Kazadi expresses the urgent need for renewal for the country. After decades of conflict, instability and political unrest, it is time for the DRC to return to democracy and break free from the grip of the old regime. He also criticizes the current government led by Félix Tshisekedi, saying it favors the privileged rather than meeting the needs of the entire Congolese population.
Among the main points raised by Rex Kazadi, social insecurity is a major concern. Kidnappings are on the rise, the exchange rate is plummeting, and the population is suffering the economic and social consequences of these problems. Rex Kazadi says loud and clear: “That’s enough!”. He aspires to a radical change in the established order, and wishes to restore to Congo Kinshasa its honor, its power and its image of yesteryear.
But Rex Kazadi is not limited to criticism. He places Congolese youth at the heart of his project. For him, the real wealth of the DRC lies in its youth, which is the key to its future. He promises to invest deeply in the education, training and employment of young people, in order to offer them a future rich in possibilities.
Originally from Mbuji-mayi, in the province of Kasaï-Oriental, Rex Kazadi took his first steps in politics in France, alongside his mentor Emmanuel Ilunga. He then founded the party “Ba Patriotes ya Kongo” (BPK) with the aim of seizing power and making a real difference in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
