ARSP opens its offices in Goma to regulate subcontracting in the private sector in the DRC

The Private Sector Subcontracting Regulatory Authority (ARSP) is opening its offices in Goma, in the province of North Kivu. This public establishment, placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), aims to bring the administration closer to the citizens and to regulate the subcontracting sector.

The opening ceremony of the ARSP’s activities took place at the BDGL roundabout and was chaired by the Minister of SMEs, Désiré BILIHANZI, in the presence of the Director General of the ARSP, Miguel Kashal Katemb. Many guests, representatives of civil and military authorities, economic operators and members of civil society, also attended the event.

In his speech, the Director General of ARSP called on young entrepreneurs in Goma to support President Félix Tshisekedi in his efforts to bring out a new generation of young Congolese millionaires. This initiative is in line with the government’s desire to stimulate entrepreneurship and promote the country’s economic development.

The establishment of the ARSP in Goma marks the beginning of an expansion in other provinces, in order to allow more entrepreneurs to benefit from the support and regulation offered by the authority. This proximity to local economic actors will also facilitate the resolution of problems encountered in the subcontracting sector.

In conclusion, the opening of the ARSP offices in Goma constitutes a significant step forward in the regulation of subcontracting in the private sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative will encourage entrepreneurship and contribute to the economic development of the country. It is now necessary to closely monitor the actions of the ARSP and the benefits it can bring to Congolese entrepreneurs
