The construction works of the urban road in the city of Mbuji-Mayi, in the province of Kasaï-Orientale in the Democratic Republic of Congo, were successfully launched on Sunday July 9, 2023. This event was marked by the presence of the Governor of the city, Patrick Mathias Kabeya, accompanied by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Tobie Kayumbi Tumba, the Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works Alexis Gisaro and the Director of the OVD Victor Tumba.
The news of this work was greeted with joy by the inhabitants of the province of Kasaï-Orientale, in particular by those of the city of Mbuji-Mayi. Indeed, five towns in the city will benefit from the installation of a new 14.35 km long road. The communes concerned are Muya, Dibindi, Pibemba and Kanshi. The objective of this work is to improve traffic flow and promote interconnectivity between the different municipalities.
