Title: National Protestant Women’s Federation Day highlights importance of unity to bring about positive change
Introduction :
The national day of the Federation of Protestant Women (FFP) took place recently in Butembo, in the North Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This event was well attended by Protestant women as well as members of revival churches. Under the theme “With Jesus, if we want, we can”, this day highlighted the power of union and solidarity to bring positive change in society.
The power of unity to bring about change:
During this day, the participants loudly proclaimed their ability to bring about change if they wish. Despite the difficulties and challenges they face, they stressed the importance of remaining united and working together to find solutions to the problems facing the country. One of the priorities expressed was the return of peace to the North Kivu region, where insecurity is still rife. Protestant women therefore pleaded for an end to conflicts and for a future of stability.
Elections bringing hope:
In view of the upcoming elections, the president of the federation of Protestant women of the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC/Butembo) launched an appeal to the population to vote in favor of true patriots, those who are committed to change things and to serve the interest of the country, rather than those who only seek to enrich themselves once elected. It is essential, according to her, to choose candidates who are truly capable of working for the improvement of the situation of the country and for the well-being of the people.
