“ERA Congo bears the state examination fees for 1,511 students in the DRC”

Reducing Financial Barriers to State Examinations in the DRC

The organization “ERA Congo”, active in the field of education in the province of Maï Ndombe in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), covered the costs of state exams for 1,511 students in eight examination centers . This action is in line with ERA Congo’s policy of supporting local communities and improving the study and living conditions of students and teachers in its forest concession.

In the field of education, several provinces in the DRC are currently organizing state examinations. The educational province of Ituri is planning out-of-session tests for 14,425 candidates, while the province of Haut Uélé has already recorded the participation of 202 finalist students in the out-of-session tests.

In addition, this week, Ituri’s deputy police governor visited state examination centers to encourage finalist students to work calmly to secure their future.

Finally, during its national budget review for 2023, the country plans to increase allocations for education and health.
