Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi and Bineta Diop: Two women committed to progress in Africa
As part of the promotion of progress and development in Africa, the First Lady of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, and Bineta Diop, special envoy of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, recently had the opportunity to meet and discuss their respective initiatives for the well-being of their fellow citizens.

Bineta Diop also highlighted the involvement of Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi in the Pan-African Organization to Fight HIV/AIDS (OPDAD), emphasizing the importance of the work and initiatives of African First Ladies to support their husbands in their action in within the African Union.
However, Bineta Diop also advocated for greater participation of women in political decision-making. She encouraged Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi to work in collaboration with political parties and the President of the Republic to promote greater representation of women in this area. According to Bineta Diop, it is essential to involve women at the negotiating table to guarantee lasting peace.
