“Sakania: The Territorial Youth Council adopts an ambitious strategic plan for the future of young people”

The Territorial Youth Council of Sakania, for the sake of development and involvement of young people in community life, has just adopted a strategic plan for the years 2023-2024. This plan, established during an annual budget meeting, aims to implement concrete actions in various areas.

Divided into five main commissions, this strategic plan covers a wide range of topics. The Legal, Administrative, Political Affairs and Initiation to New Citizenship Commission focuses on training young people in the functioning of institutions and their role as citizens. Employment, projects, agriculture and the environment are at the heart of the concerns of the next commission, which aims to support youth initiatives in these areas.

Sport and leisure also occupy an important place in this strategic plan, with a commission dedicated to their promotion. Communication, media, public relations and logistics are handled by another commission, which wishes to highlight the actions undertaken by the Territorial Youth Council of Sakania. Finally, the Social Affairs, Gender, Health and Church Relations Commission focuses on issues such as the fight against abuse of young girls, health issues and inter-religious relations.

This strategic plan highlights several priority actions. First of all, agriculture, fishing and animal husbandry are considered to be important levers in the fight against food addiction. The young people of Sakania will therefore be encouraged to invest in these sectors. Then, the promotion of sport, especially football, basketball and volleyball, is a way to promote the development of young people and strengthen the social fabric.

Defending human rights and raising awareness against political manipulation are also priorities of the strategic plan. By fighting against juvenile delinquency and renovating the premises of the Territorial Youth Council of Sakania, concrete actions will be undertaken to improve the living conditions of young people.

Finally, the creation of a website dedicated to the activities of young people in the territory of Sakania will make it possible to communicate effectively on the actions undertaken and to promote the participation of young people in the life of their community.

Gaston Mumba Mutoya, President of the Territorial Youth Council of Sakania, calls on privileged partners and the government to support the implementation of this strategic plan. It also underlines the importance of the commitment of young people for the development of their territory.

This strategic plan reflects the will of the Territorial Youth Council of Sakania to mobilize young people and to act in a concrete and effective way for their development.
