The Trade Union Confederation of Congo (CSC) won the trade union elections organized at the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. With 198 votes and 3 seats won, the CSC was thus chosen to represent the workers in the administration of the CNSS.
This victory testifies to the importance given to trade unions in defending the interests of Congolese workers. Indeed, the CSC undertakes to carry loud and clear the voice of the workers of the CNSS to the governing bodies of the company. Their aim is to advocate for the benefits and interests of staff.
It should be noted that twenty trade union organizations were in the running for these elections. Each organization will be responsible for representing CNSS workers for a term extending from 2023 to 2026.
The CNSS, created in 1961 in Kinshasa under the name of National Institute of Social Security, is a public institution of the Congolese government responsible for the organization of social security in the country.
