“Free cervical and breast cancer screening campaign in Kinshasa: ROCHE is working alongside the Ministry of Health to save lives”

Free screening campaign for cervical and breast cancer in Kinshasa, with the support of the ROCHE company.

The Ministry of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo recently launched a free screening campaign for cervical and breast cancer in Kinshasa. This initiative, which aims to raise awareness among the Congolese population and provide easy access to screening tests, is made possible thanks to collaboration with the Swiss pharmaceutical company ROCHE.

Cervical and breast cancer screening is essential to detect these types of cancer at an early stage, greatly increasing the chances of treatment and cure. Unfortunately, many people in the DRC do not have access to these testing services due to financial constraints and lack of adequate infrastructure. This is why the free testing campaign is so important.

Thanks to the support of ROCHE, this campaign will allow at least 200 people suffering from cervical and breast cancer to have access to screening tests and, if necessary, appropriate treatment. The company will provide the necessary medicines and equipment, while the Ministry of Health will commit to financing part of the costs.

This collaboration between the private and public sectors is an example of a fruitful partnership that improves access to health care and fights cancer in the DRC. By working together, the Ministry of Health and ROCHE hope to save lives and reduce the burden of cancer in the country.

It is important to emphasize that regular screening for cervical and breast cancer is crucial, especially for Congolese women. These cancers are among the most common in the DRC and represent a real public health challenge. Thanks to this free screening campaign, lives can be saved and many women will be able to receive the care necessary to prevent or cure these diseases.

In conclusion, the free cervical and breast cancer screening campaign in Kinshasa is a laudable initiative that will allow many Congolese people to have access to screening tests and appropriate care. Thanks to the collaboration between the Ministry of Health and ROCHE, hope is given to fight cancer and improve the health of the Congolese population.
