“The Extraordinary General Assembly of the FEC for the approval of the revised statutes: a crucial step in the modernization of the organization”

The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Fédération des Entreprises du Congo (FEC) will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the organization’s headquarters. This was announced by Albert Yuma, president of the FEC, in a letter addressed to all members.

The main objective of this meeting will be the approval of the revised Statutes of the FEC, as well as the Internal Regulations which will supplement the statutes by providing details on the organization and functioning of the Federation.

It is important to remember that only members in good standing with their contributions will have the right to vote at this meeting, in accordance with the last paragraph of article 22 of the Statutes.

This convocation follows the 3rd ordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of the FEC which was held in October 2023. During this meeting, the revised statutes were examined and adopted with some amendments. As the draft Internal Regulations could not be examined due to lack of time, they will be presented at the Extraordinary General Assembly for adoption and implementation.

This approach is part of the Renaissance program, launched by President Yuma after his re-election in 2020, aimed at modernizing the FEC by strengthening its administration and revising its statutes.

In conclusion, the Extraordinary General Assembly of the FEC scheduled for November 2, 2023 will be a crucial moment for the approval of the revised statutes and the internal regulations of the organization. This important step in the modernization of the FEC will make it possible to strengthen its functioning and better serve the interests of its members.
