“Spectacular celebration of the 105ᵉ anniversary of Joseph Diangienda Kuntima: the Kimbanguist youth reveal their knowledge during an unprecedented cultural contest!”

The Church of Jesus Christ on Earth by His Envoy Simon Kimbangu (EJCSK), Mbanza-Ngungu Central Parish, recently dramatically celebrated the 105th anniversary of the birth of Joseph Diangienda Kuntima, one of the spiritual leaders and son of the prophet Kimbangu. The celebration was marked by the holding of a major contest on general culture called “Nzeyi”, which took place on July 3, 2023.

The “Nzeyi” contest, organized in collaboration with the organization of finalist Kimbanguist students (OEFK), aimed to enrich participants’ knowledge of Kimbanguism, but also to strengthen their general skills in science. The participants, selected from the finalist students of the Kimbanguist schools, competed in intelligence and knowledge in the preliminary rounds which began in April, to arrive at the grand final with 25 candidates.

The final of the “Nzeyi” contest was sponsored and sponsored by the association “Zua Idée Forever”, led by Cédric Matuatambula Kua Nzambi. This association, which supports young people in various fields, was chosen for its ability to support and promote the initiatives of young Congolese. The Provincial Minister of Mines, Transport and Ways of Communication of Kongo Central, Mak Matondo Kua Nzambi, member of “Zua Idée Forever”, was also present during this celebration.

The holding of this cultural event was welcomed by the Reverend Pastor Emmanuel Dina of the Unique Cataract Division, who encouraged the Kimbanguist youth to get more involved in such activities. He expressed his wish to see the “Nzeyi” contest become an annual tradition in the province. The organizers also expressed their gratitude to “Zua Idée Forever” for its support and commitment to the church of Jesus Christ on earth.

At the end of the final, which took place in Mbanza-ngungu, the names of the first two winners were revealed. Justin-Robben Diasilua and Zenedy Nzeza took top honors and were praised for their brilliant performance.

This celebration of Joseph Diangienda Kuntima’s birthday and the holding of the “Nzeyi” contest demonstrate the importance of Kimbanguist youth in preserving the culture and values ​​of Kimbanguism.
