Faith Word In Action, a civic organization specializing in the development and empowerment of young women and girls, recently organized a workshop in Kinshasa. Funded by organizations such as Oxfam, FEMNET and the European Union, Faith Word In Action is committed to supporting women in taking responsibility and leadership within their communities.
This workshop, which was held from July 4 to 5, aimed to take stock of the activities of the previous year and to highlight the progress made towards the key objectives of each member. It was also a question of drawing conclusions in order to revitalize the work plan for the year 2023.
According to Anifa Kalombola, Executive Secretary of Faith Word In Action, this workshop allowed to review the different activities carried out in 2022, highlighting the positive and negative aspects. She underlined that each partner is free to carry out their own activities, even if all collaborate within the framework of the STITCH project.
The objective of the workshop was also to promote the exchange of knowledge and skills between the partners, in order to be able to help each other and evolve in a positive way. Everyone had the opportunity to share their achievements and the activities carried out outside the STITCH project, in collaboration with Oxfam and FEMNET.
It should be recalled that Faith Word In Action has been present in the DRC for nearly four years and is one of the 14 members chosen for the implementation of the STITCH project in seven African countries. This initiative aims to empower women and girls and promote their leadership in their communities.
In conclusion, the Faith Word In Action workshop in Kinshasa provided an opportunity to take stock of the achievements of the previous year and plan future actions
