A new sector head in Basonge 2: Sefu Lumbule takes office
On Wednesday October 4, a new sector head took office at Basonge 2. Sefu Lumbule replaces Kawaya Mwana Mufula, who had held this position for 58 years. The installation of Sefu Lumbule was carried out by the assistant territorial administrator in charge of the economy and finances of Kasongo.
Sefu Lumbule immediately expressed his commitment to the development of the Basonge 2 Mweho sector. It is committed to establishing transparent and orthodox management, in order to meet the expectations of the population and overcome the challenges facing the region. Among these challenges, we find in particular the lack of drinking water and agricultural service roads.
The new sector head also made a commitment to raise awareness among his constituents about the electoral process underway in the country. He thus wishes to involve the population in the political decisions that concern them.
This change at the head of the Basonge 2 Mweho sector follows the signing, last August, of the ministerial decree appointing sector heads in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The outgoing sector head, Kawaya M’Pinga, expressed his gratitude to the authorities and the population for the trust and support he received throughout his mandate. He said he was ready to support his successor in his mission, recognizing the complexity of the challenges to be met.
This new assumption of office therefore marks a significant turning point for the Basonge 2 sector, with the arrival of Sefu Lumbule at the head of the region. Its desire for transparency, sound management and its awareness of political issues demonstrate a new dynamic for the development of the region. Let us hope that these efforts will bear fruit and improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of Basonge 2 Mweho.
