Jean-Pierre Bemba re-elected as head of the MLC and supports the candidacy of Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi for the presidential election: a promising union for the development of the DRC

Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo re-elected at the head of the Congo Liberation Movement (MLC) and supports the candidacy of Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in the next presidential election.

During the 4th Congress of party representatives which was held recently, Jean-Pierre Bemba was reappointed at the head of the MLC. In his speech, he expressed his unwavering support for the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi. He said he would not run as a candidate and would support his brother Tshisekedi in his race for the presidency.

This decision to support Tshisekedi is motivated by the development vision of the Head of State and by the need to remain united to face the adversaries of the Sacred Union. Jean-Pierre Bemba is convinced that division within this union would weaken the country and yield to the interests of adversaries.

The head of the MLC pledged to support President Tshisekedi in his development programs, in particular free education and the construction of health, road and airport infrastructures. He believes in the ability of the Sacred Union to lift the country out of poverty and bring positive changes to the Congolese population.

Presidential elections in the DRC are scheduled for December 2023, and Jean-Pierre Bemba hopes that the massive support of the MLC will contribute to the re-election of Tshisekedi and the continuity of ongoing development projects.

This re-election of Jean-Pierre Bemba at the head of the MLC and his support for Tshisekedi’s candidacy mark an important step in the union of political forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo to face national challenges and build a better future for the country . Unity and solidarity are the watchwords for the Congo Liberation Movement, which aspires to the liberation and development of the country.
