According to information provided by military sources from the 12th Rapid Reaction Brigade, among the members of the armed group who surrendered were two minors who served as bodyguards to deserter Colonel Charles Sematama. These minors were handed over to MONUSCO to be placed under child protection, while the other 10 members surrendered to the FARDC and were transferred to the 10th military region based in Bukavu.
Among the Twirwaneho members who surrendered, there were seven minors and five adults. This surrender allowed the recovery of five AK-47 type weapons as well as 143 ammunition.
