Martin Fayulu announces his candidacy for the presidential election in the DRC, advocating transparency and electoral fairness.

The president of the political party Engagement for Citizenship and Development (ECiDe), Martin Fayulu, has just announced his candidacy for the presidential election scheduled for December 20 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This decision comes after three months of suspense, during which Mr. Fayulu declared that he would not present his candidacy until the electoral register was audited by an independent firm.

Martin Fayulu’s decision to file his candidacy was taken with the aim of ensuring transparency in the elections and ensuring that the electoral process takes place in a fair and equitable manner. According to him, the audit of the electoral register did not make it possible to obtain the desired transparency, and this is why he now intends to concentrate on monitoring the elections in order to ensure this much sought-after transparency.

He told a press conference: “We totally agree with the CENCO-ECC electoral observation mission that transparency and inclusion are key factors for peace and stability in the DRC before, during and after the elections.

Martin Fayulu will now have to go to the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) to officially submit his candidacy.

This announcement marks a turning point in the presidential race in the DRC and raises a lot of expectations and hopes among Martin Fayulu’s supporters, as well as among those who aspire to transparent and democratic elections. Election monitoring will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process and in achieving legitimate and commonly accepted results.

By submitting his candidacy, Martin Fayulu hopes not only to actively participate in the presidential election, but also to contribute to the construction of a more transparent and inclusive electoral system in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His determination to fight for fair and equitable elections is a strong sign for all those who aspire to positive change in the country.

It should be noted that Martin Fayulu is not the only candidate to run in the December 2023 presidential election. Other political figures have also expressed their intention to run, which promises intense political competition in the months to come.

In conclusion, the candidacy of Martin Fayulu for the presidential election in the DRC marks a turning point in the electoral process. Its determination to guarantee the transparency and integrity of elections is a strong signal in favor of a more robust democracy and more just and equitable governance. The coming months promise to be crucial for the political future of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
