The Summit for a new global financial pact kicked off Thursday in Paris, with the participation of several heads of state and world leaders. The main objective of the summit is to promote private investment in emerging countries to fight against poverty and biodiversity.

During the summit, the leaders will discuss different topics such as the fight against climate change, debt relief and climate finance. Certain subjects will be taken up by developing countries within the framework of the “Bridgetown initiative”.
The leaders present will also use the occasion to encourage multilateral development banks to take more risk with their capital in order to stimulate lending. They hope to find solutions for the next few months on a whole series of subjects.
The Summit for a new global financial pact in Paris promises to be more united and adapted to the fight against climate change and other global challenges. The leaders present intend to provide concrete responses to these challenges, while mobilizing private investment for the economic growth of emerging countries.
