Opponent Martin Fayulu, president of the ECIDE political party, spoke in an interview with the press on the political situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. According to him, the opposition does not need a common candidate to beat Félix Tshisekedi in the presidential election scheduled for December 20.
Fayulu stressed that each opposition political group wishes to present its own social project to the Congolese people. He also believes that the Union Sacrée candidate will be largely defeated.
Regarding the organization of the elections, the opponent criticizes the chaotic preparation. He deplores the lack of transparency regarding the electoral register and the absence of external audit of the electoral commission. According to Fayulu, it is difficult to trust a file that has not been independently verified. He also questions the quality of the voters registered in this file, wondering if they are real or fictitious. He thus welcomes the initiative of certain leaders to ask that the results be announced polling station by polling station, in order to prevent any use of fictitious cards.
In conclusion, Martin Fayulu reaffirms that he has heard the call of the churches and the Congolese population who ask him to run as a candidate in the presidential election. He remains determined to make his voice heard and defend the interests and aspirations of the Congolese people.
