Kasai Central provides the police with 20 motorcycles to strengthen security

Article: Kasai Central provides the police with 20 motorcycles to facilitate their movements

The provincial government of Kasaï central provided, on Tuesday, June 20, the Congolese national police (PNC) with twenty Boxer brand motorcycles. This donation is intended to facilitate the movement of the Congolese police to better protect the population and its property. However, these devices only concern the police stations of five territories dependent on the province.

The provincial commissioner of the PNC, General Aimé-Claude WASONGOLUA, welcomed this initiative and recalled that the promise had been made in July 2022. He also warned against any misuse of these motorcycles.

“These rolling machines belong neither to the commanders nor to the territorial executives of the police. The beneficiaries are the inhabitants of your respective corners. So use these machines as a good family man,” he said.

This motorcycle handover took place at the administrative building in Kananga. Previously, this initiative had already been initiated with a first order of ten Apache brand motorcycles purchased with the province’s own funds a few months ago.

It should be noted, however, that Kasai Central is one of the purplest provinces of the Congo. The motorized vehicles will help to strengthen security and better fight against crime in the region.

Despite this new allocation, the Congolese police would still need more support to ensure the safety of the population in a region still marked by unrest
