Patrick Muyaya – Minister for Communications and Media and Patron
The theme of the first edition is “Ending Maternal Mortality in the Democratic Republic of the Congo”. According to Patrick Muayai, people cannot help but celebrate the culmination of 30-40 years of struggle. Minister Muyaya thanked UNFPA for taking the initiative to focus on issues affecting everyone. The Minister of Communications and Media organized an award ceremony for journalists at the Henriette EKE conference. UNFPA launched the award in June 2022. I sponsored this event for several reasons. The United Nations Population Fund has announced a competition. Dedicated midwife Henriette Ecke suggests redefining the profession. She was a UNFPA Midwifery Consultant until her death in 2020. UNFPA Advocacy welcomes journalists who raise awareness. Prisca Locale has won an Online Media Award. Patrick Muyaya is the event’s sponsor. Winners were awarded special prizes. Special prizes are awarded to winners. Rose Riziki accepts prizes and checks. Martha Rose Riziki has won two awards.
