“Russian Foreign Minister denounces ‘hybrid war’ orchestrated by Western countries in Ukraine”

The United Nations General Assembly was the scene of an offensive speech from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. In his speech, he accused Western countries, notably the United States, of directly fighting Russia in Ukraine, calling it a “hybrid war.”

According to Sergei Lavrov, Western countries provide financial aid, weapons and send mercenaries to Ukraine to support the conflict against Russia. For their part, the United States and other European countries say they are not at war with Russia, but simply helping Ukraine defend itself.

The Russian minister also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s peace summit proposal, calling it “unfeasible” and “not realistic.” These statements come against a backdrop of growing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with recent military clashes in the Black Sea region.

It is clear that the situation in Ukraine remains complex and the diplomatic stakes are high. Sergei Lavrov’s statements highlight the differences of opinion and persistent tensions between Russia and Western countries.

It is important to continue to closely monitor the development of the situation in Ukraine and the reactions of the various international actors involved. Only a peaceful and negotiated solution can put an end to this conflict and preserve stability in the region.
