The consultation frameworks of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) ended successfully at the Palais du Peuple performance hall. In the presence of the President of the CENI, Denis KADIMA KAZADI, and members of the office, the women, young people, people living with disabilities and indigenous people expressed their interest and their commitment to the next electoral polls in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Denis KADIMA KAZADI encouraged participants not to give credence to information conveyed by enemies of the elections and to trust the official communication channels of the CENI. He underlined the importance of the participation of all components of Congolese society in the electoral process and insisted on the need to hold credible, transparent, inclusive and peaceful elections.
The President of the CENI also announced the upcoming start of awareness-raising activities and invited women, young people, people living with disabilities and indigenous people to mobilize for positive developments in democracy in the DRC.
During the consultation meetings, CENI experts enlightened participants on specific issues such as electoral lists, mapping of polling stations and the use of the Electronic Voting Device (DEV). These exchanges made it possible to strengthen the understanding and active participation of all the actors involved in the electoral process.
