The sinking of a boat carrying migrants off the coast of Lampedusa in the Mediterranean has once again made headlines. According to the testimonies of four survivors, around forty people disappeared at sea after the sinking of the ship, which had left Tunisia towards the Italian coast.

The incident occurred due to rough seas and heavy swells.
