The 2022-2023 Annual Review of the Kongo-Central II educational province in Mbanza-Ngungu (Kongo-Central) was marked by constructive exchanges and the desire to update the school map of this region. Over three days, education professionals analyzed their entity’s performance over the past year and identified major issues that need to be addressed.
Under the theme “improving the quality of education through good governance and admissibility”, this work highlighted the importance that the President of the Republic attaches to the education of Congolese children. Jean Tshisekedi, Director of the Kongo Central II educational province, welcomed this priority given to education in the country.
Participants in the Annual Review included the Provincial Director, the Provincial Chief Inspector, heads of provincial sub-divisions as well as teachers’ unionists. Together, they reviewed the problems they face and proposed solutions to improve the quality of education in the province.
This work highlights the importance of good governance and accountability in the field of education. To ensure the quality of teaching, it is essential that resources are managed transparently and efficiently. In addition, it is essential that teachers are competent and motivated, and that students receive teaching adapted to their needs.

It allows school officials, inspectors and trade unionists to exchange ideas and share experiences, with the aim of collectively improving the quality of education.
