The Congolese Control Office (OCC) is committed to supporting economic operators in North Kivu to improve the quality of their products intended for export. Indeed, many entrepreneurs in the region encounter difficulties related to the presentation and labeling of their products, which limits their competitiveness on international markets.
As part of an awareness session organized by the OCC, economic operators were informed of the international standards to be respected in terms of certification, standardization and labeling. This step is essential to guarantee the quality of local products and facilitate cross-border trade with neighboring countries.
This OCC initiative has been very well received by entrepreneurs, who recognize the importance of complying with the requirements of the international market. Indeed, for these entrepreneurs from North Kivu, it is crucial to meet international standards in order to be able to compete with foreign products and export their own products. They consider this awareness as a valuable contribution to improving their knowledge and strengthening their position on the international scene.
The vice provincial governor also expressed his desire to facilitate the standardization and certification procedure for young entrepreneurs and SMEs, to enable them to sell their products beyond national borders.
In conclusion, thanks to the initiative of the OCC and the will of North Kivu entrepreneurs, the improvement in the quality of products intended for export is underway. By respecting international standards, these entrepreneurs will be able to access new markets and contribute to the economic development of the region.
