The political situation in the DRC is marked by various events. Terrorist attacks take place in the north and a new political ally is formed for the next legislative elections. The country also has to deal with heavy flooding which leaves many families in need.
Finally, the return of Joseph Kabila on the political scene worries when the political situation is already very tense.
These events show the need for real support for the Congolese population. Through a more appropriate economic policy and a strengthening of relief mechanisms in the event of natural disasters, the State could meet the needs of the population.
The death of Mbuyi Tshibuabua is a loss for the Congolese press and for all those who defend freedom of expression and of the press. His work has been remarkable and his commitment has served as a model for many budding journalists.
We salute the memory of Mbuyi Tshibuabua and hope that his legacy will continue to inspire the press in the DRC
