The historic ECOWAS meeting: Strengthening cooperation for a prosperous future in West Africa

At the recent ECOWAS meeting in Abuja, leading political figures such as Omar Touray, Adama Barrow and Yusuf Tuggar stressed the importance of regional cooperation to address security and economic challenges in West Africa. Strengthening regional integration and international collaboration were at the heart of the discussions, highlighting the need for collective action to ensure the security and prosperity of the region.
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) meeting held on 15 December 2024 in Abuja, Nigeria, witnessed several high-level discussions. Indeed, Omar Touray, Adama Barrow and Yusuf Tuggar, three prominent political figures, came together to discuss critical issues affecting the region.

Omar Touray, known for his courageous stances in support of democracy and human rights, stressed the importance of strengthening regional cooperation to address the security and economic challenges facing ECOWAS.
