Training Congolese women leaders in new technologies: a new step towards digital inclusion

**Training Congolese Women Leaders in New Technologies: A New Step Towards Digital Inclusion**

The Congolese Women’s Consultation Framework (CAFCO) recently launched a major initiative to train and equip around a hundred women leaders in new information and communication technologies (NICT). This two-day training session brought together participants from various provinces of Congo, with the aim of strengthening their skills and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly connected world.

Under the theme of digital inclusion, this CAFCO initiative is particularly important in a context where the use of digital technologies plays an essential role in personal and professional development. Indeed, mastering digital tools has become an essential asset for successfully carrying out projects, communicating effectively and establishing fruitful partnerships.

During the first day of training, participants were introduced to a range of digital tools and platforms, allowing them to create impactful content on social networks and use office software for optimized management of their activities. They also learned how to exploit the benefits of online communication tools such as videoconferences, webinars and discussion forums to promote their projects and foster remote collaboration.

The second day was devoted to putting into practice the knowledge acquired during the first day. Participants were thus able to implement these new skills by creating impactful professional pages on social networks and designing awareness campaigns on topics that are important to them.

This initiative is part of the “CAFCO Academy” program, which aims to modernize the working methods of Congolese women leaders by offering them training adapted to the realities of the digital world. By strengthening the skills of these women and enabling them to take advantage of information and communication technologies, CAFCO contributes to strengthening their autonomy and visibility, both on the national and international scene.

Ultimately, this training session on new technologies represents a real lever of emancipation and empowerment for Congolese women leaders, by providing them with the tools necessary to meet the challenges of the contemporary world. It marks another step towards a more inclusive and connected society, where every woman has her place and her voice.
