December 8, 2024 will remain a memorable date for Lagos music and entertainment lovers as the much-awaited Fatshimetrie Fiesta set the city ablaze.
The festivities took place at the Queen’s Park Event Centre, bringing together fans and celebrities for an electrifying night. From delicious food, refreshing drinks, games, stage performances and more, attendees had an exhilarating time.
The musical performances got the crowd going right from the start of the night. Dwin The Stoic captivated the audience with his melodious vocals and romantic songs. Then came Taves, who performed his greatest hits including “Folake” and “Enchante”. Then, Candy Bleaks, nicknamed Lady’s Dragon, set the stage ablaze with her hit single “Wale” and a new song titled “Popo”. Hit singer Peruzzi carried the audience away with hits like “Mind”, “Majesty” and “Amaka”. And as a climax, Blown Boy Ruger thrilled the audience with tracks like “Toma Toma”, “Red Flags”, “Girlfriend” and “Asiwaju”.
A highlight of the night was the rap battle, featuring male and female MCs vying for their place on stage. The audience applauded the rap performances enthusiastically, capturing the moments on their phones.
The fast-paced night was kept up by renowned DJs such as DJ Pretty Play, DJ Femzy, DJ Aade and others, while hosts such as Toby Shang, M.I.A the Action Queen and Rooboy got the crowd fired up with their boundless energy.
Guests also enjoyed various games such as Spin D Wheel, X and O, and Jenga, with many prizes up for grabs. The various exhibitors’ booths allowed attendees to shop and discover new brands.
On the gastronomic side, the evening offered a variety of unlimited food and beverages, with an all-night bar to cater to all tastes.
Fans in attendance were privileged to witness the live recording of the podcast “Fatshimetrie’s Terms & Conditions” with the special appearance of Wanni and Handi, two stars of the reality TV show BBNaija.
The entertainment did not stop there, with comedic performances from many renowned comedians, including a surprise appearance by Kenny Blaq that had the audience in stitches.
