**Fatshimetrie: A control operation highlights fraudulent practices in teachers’ payroll in Kinshasa**
A large physical and administrative control operation was recently conducted within the offices of DINACOPE in Kinshasa, revealing fraudulent practices in the management of teachers’ salaries. Under the direction of the National Director, Boniface Mbaka Ngapembe, this initiative highlighted the existence of false profiles and fictitious beneficiaries who illegally received salaries from the State, to the detriment of teachers actually working in schools.
During a media outing, Boniface Mbaka stressed that these existing frauds in the teachers’ payroll system pose a real problem and require legal action. He highlighted the fact that some fictitious teachers were listed in the DINACOPE file, unduly benefiting from public salaries without any actual presence in schools.
In the face of these revelations, concrete measures have been considered to clean up the situation. The government was informed of these persistent irregularities and decided to take corrective measures to ensure transparency and fairness in the education and citizenship sector.
Through this rigorous control, 584 cases of suspicious agents were identified in Kinshasa, representing a considerable amount of more than 310 million Congolese francs. These irregularities led to the suspension of the salaries of these fraudulent individuals, thus freeing up funds for authentic teachers who have not received their due.
This saving action was welcomed by public opinion and particularly by the aggrieved teachers, who finally see a glimmer of hope after years of precariousness and salary injustice. For many of them, this decision represents a recognition of their hard work and a strong commitment to integrity and social justice.
It is essential to emphasize that these fraudulent practices cannot be tolerated and that drastic measures must be taken to clean up the public administration and restore citizens’ trust in state institutions. This case also raises the issue of governance and the responsibility of authorities in the management of public resources, highlighting the need for increased monitoring and total transparency in the management of public funds.
In conclusion, the control operation carried out in Kinshasa has revealed a problem that is plaguing the teachers’ payroll system in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Concrete actions have been taken to address these irregularities and restore public confidence in government institutions. It is imperative to continue these efforts towards transparency and ethics in the management of public resources, in order to guarantee a better future for all citizens of this country.
