Local Development Program for 145 territories in the Democratic Republic of Congo
The Local Development Program of the 145 territories in the Democratic Republic of Congo continues to progress successfully. During a meeting of the strategic steering committee, chaired by Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge, the evaluation of the implementation of this flagship program of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo was discussed.
According to the Government Spokesman, Patrick Muyaya, more than 300 to 400 books are already ready under this program. Among the expected achievements, we find the construction of 1,200 schools, 500 to 700 health centers and 145 administrative buildings. Despite some difficulties encountered, particularly in the east of the country, all the agencies managed to launch the necessary work.
This meeting also provided an opportunity to take stock of the progress of the project and plan the next steps. A program for the inaugurations of works already completed will soon be put in place, while other components of the program will continue to develop.
The strategic steering committee, made up of members of the government, is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the grassroots development program for the 145 territories. This initiative aims to trigger the development of the country from its territories, focusing on key sectors such as education, health and administration.
The Local Development Program of the 145 territories represents a major opportunity for the Democratic Republic of Congo to transform its regions and promote balanced and inclusive growth. It demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving the living conditions of the population and strengthening the development of the country as a whole.
It is therefore encouraging to note that the project is progressing successfully and that many achievements are already concretely ready. It will be interesting to follow the evolution of this program and the benefits it will bring to Congolese citizens in the years to come
