Irrigation Minister Commits to Sustainable Future of Egyptian Industry

Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Hany Sewilam is showing strong determination to achieve the goals of Egypt’s sustainable development strategy. The Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, Hany Sewilam, expressed on Saturday, November 30, 2024, the determination of the Ministry of Irrigation to achieve the goals of the sustainable and comprehensive development strategy adopted by the state. This approach is in line with Egypt’s vision for 2030 and aims to develop the national industry.

During a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources to monitor the evolution of water quality in several locations along the Nile, Minister Sewilam stressed the importance of preserving the factories that use water in their operational cycles, taken from the waterways.

He also highlighted the importance of monitoring the quantities and quality of the water taken and produced by these factories, in order to ensure the preservation of water quality in the surrounding waterways.

At the same time, Sewilam ordered to follow up on the results of the analyses of the final discharge samples of industrial wastewater and cooling water from these factories, with the aim of preserving the national industry.

This step underlines the ministry’s commitment to sustainable development and the preservation of the country’s water resources. Protecting water quality and promoting good industrial practices are essential pillars to ensure a sustainable future for Egypt and its industry.
