Japanese fund for the rehabilitation of the Maréchal bridge in Matadi in the DRC
Japan recently announced its financial support to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for the rehabilitation of the Maréchal bridge in Matadi, located in the province of Kongo Central. The Ambassador of Japan in the DRC, Hiroyuki Minami, declared that his country will allocate an envelope of 285,000 US dollars to finance the studies necessary for this rehabilitation.

Since the start of cooperation between Japan and the DRC in 2005, the Asian country has financed nearly 300 projects with a total value of 48 million US dollars across Congolese territory.
