The event long awaited by the inhabitants of Goma is finally coming to fruition: the Amani Festival opens its doors from November 15 to 17 in the village of Ihusi. After being postponed twice, this new edition promises to offer three days of artistic delights in the capital of the province of North Kivu.

The tense geopolitical context of the region had forced the organizers to relocate the previous edition to Bukavu, in South Kivu. But this year, Goma is resuming its role as host country for this major cultural event.

The Amani Festival is not simply an artistic gathering, but also a symbol of resilience and peace in a region marked by conflicts and tensions. Its director, Guillaume Bisimwa, expresses this ambition in his remarks, emphasizing the importance of promoting culture and unity through music and dance.

This 10th edition of the Amani Festival is therefore placed under the sign of challenges and issues, both artistic and social. It offers local artists the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity, while offering the public moments of sharing and emotion.

The festival is not limited to simple artistic representation, it also aims to be a space for exchange and reflection on the issues facing Congolese society. The debates and meetings that will punctuate these three days will be an opportunity for participants to question themselves about the future of their country and the actions to be taken to build a better future.

In short, the Amani Festival in Goma is not reduced to a simple cultural event, but embodies a real desire for transformation and unity. It invites everyone to join this celebration of life, music and peace, in a common momentum towards a brighter future for the North Kivu region.
