Each year, this grant rewards a young African journalist and technician. For this tenth edition, applications are open to young French-speaking talents from 25 African countries. Applicants must be under 35 and have worked in radio for at least two years.

The training will take place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from October 16 to 29, 2023. Selected participants will follow intensive workshops and will have the opportunity to produce a report for journalists and a sound element for technicians. A jury made up of representatives from RFI, the Ivorian press, the Sciences Po School of Journalism and INA will select the winners in each category. The award ceremony will take place on November 2, the day declared by the United Nations as the “International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists”.
