Fatshimetrie, October 28, 2024 – An enriching event is planned for Friday, November 1 at the University of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Indeed, a captivating exchange workshop organized under the theme “From incapacity to leadership: is this journey possible for youth?” promises to generate interest and reflection.
The main objective of this initiative is to support young talents by encouraging them to explore the fields of literature and leadership. Séraphin Mikobi, coordinator of the Cercle des Hommes des Lettres de l’Unikin (CERHOL), underlines the importance of this workshop as a catalyst for the intellectual development and potential of Congolese students. He highlights the power of literature to inspire and guide young people towards a promising future.
The workshop will bring together a host of renowned personalities such as Professor Patrick Onoya, writer Christian Gombo Tomokwabini, playwright Félicien Omayete, artist and philanthropist Licelv Mauwa, MP Sylvain Kanyinda, Pastor Daniel Mbila, Thierry Makobele, Ngaliema municipal councilor, and Isaac Kanyinda, deputy mayor of the Ngaliema commune. These high-calibre speakers will bring their expertise and experiences to enrich the discussions around the theme “I saw God, from incapacity to leadership”.
The apotheosis of this event will be the baptism of the eponymous play, the work of the writer Félicien Omayete, which poignantly illustrates the journey from incapacity to leadership. This artistic moment promises to captivate the participants and offer them a memorable experience.
