Lifting of the state of siege in North Kivu and Ituri: Participants vote in favor of the normalization of the security situation

Participants in the round table on the assessment of the state of siege in North Kivu and Ituri were mostly in favor of lifting it. This decision was taken during the closing of the round table which took place at the People’s Palace in Kinshasa. The chairman of the Committee for Lifting the State of Siege, the national deputy Fabrice Adenonga, explained that the majority of the participants expressed themselves in favor of this option. Of the 196 participants present, 195 voted in favor of lifting the state of siege.
