“LIPHAMA raises awareness of the law protecting the rights of people living with disabilities for a more inclusive and equitable society”

The League of Associations of Persons Living with Disabilities (LIPHAMA) recently organized a popularization workshop on the law protecting the rights of persons living with disabilities in Kindu, in the province of Maniema. This three-day event aimed to raise awareness and inform participants about the rights and obligations of people living with disabilities, as well as how to claim them.

According to Stanis Kanamuli, provincial coordinator of LIPHAMA, it is essential that all people living with a disability, whatever their category or condition, understand this law and be able to assert their rights. It therefore encourages those concerned to join LIPHAMA in order to benefit from the aid and support of the State.

This popularization workshop on the law on the protection of the rights of people living with disabilities demonstrates LIPHAMA’s commitment to promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. By informing them of their rights and providing them with the necessary tools to enforce them, this organization contributes to the empowerment and improvement of the living conditions of people with disabilities.

The importance of raising awareness and popularizing this law cannot be underestimated. People living with a disability often face many difficulties and discrimination in their daily lives. By giving them access to information and helping them to know their rights, LIPHAMA gives them the means to defend themselves and fight against the injustices they may face.

This LIPHAMA initiative also highlights the importance of collaboration between civil society organizations and government authorities to improve the condition of people living with disabilities. By working closely together, it is possible to put in place concrete policies and measures to ensure inclusion and equal opportunities for all.

In conclusion, LIPHAMA plays an essential role in the promotion and protection of the rights of people living with disabilities
