The inhabitants of the city of Beni, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, are plunged into a climate of growing insecurity, marked by a series of armed burglaries. These increasingly frequent criminal acts legitimately arouse concern among the population. The recent attack in Malepe, during which armed individuals stole a motorcycle and fired shots, sadly illustrates this alarming reality.

The president of civil society, Pépin Kavota, stresses the urgency of action to ensure the safety of residents, especially as the end-of-year holidays approach, which are conducive to acts of delinquency.
