The United Nations Security Council has expressed concern over the recent attack on the Lala IDP camp in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The attack, which was attributed to members of the Cooperative for the Development of Congo (CODECO), killed 45 people and injured 10 others. The members of the Council called on the Congolese authorities to open an investigation into this attack and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Council members also called on all Congolese armed groups to participate unconditionally in the Nairobi process to find political solutions and to disarm, demobilize and reintegrate into local communities.
