Fatshimetrie, October 23, 2024 – This week, the city of Mbuji-Mayi, located in the Kasai Oriental province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was the scene of a commendable initiative led by the Education and Training Promotion Fund (FPEF), in partnership with the Kadima Foundation. Indeed, school kits were distributed to schools in the region, thus providing valuable support to local students in their educational journey.

This action is part of the broader mission of the FPEF, which aims to promote education in all its forms, from basic education to vocational training, including higher and university education. For several years, the FPEF has been committed to supporting schools by providing funds collected from parents as part of school fees.

According to Samuel Badiambila, head of the FPEF branch in Kasaï Oriental, this distribution of school kits is particularly important with the introduction of free education. Indeed, the need for school materials was acute, and this initiative fills a gap by providing students with essential tools such as benches, notebooks, pens, and even flashlights to encourage studies outside of natural light hours.

Beyond the simple distribution of school kits, this action is a strong symbol of solidarity with Congolese youth, by providing them with the means to flourish and build their future through education. It also illustrates the FPEF’s commitment to supporting the education sector as a whole, by contributing to the improvement of learning conditions and encouraging the schooling of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In conclusion, this distribution of school kits in Mbuji-Mayi by the FPEF and the Kadima Foundation is a promising initiative that demonstrates the importance of education as an essential lever for social and economic development. By investing in the education of younger generations, we are paving the way for a better future for Congo and its people.
