Fatshimetrie Amarachi, a model from Imo State, celebrated her birthday in style last week by hosting an art exhibition at a hotel in Lekki, Lagos. The event, which brought together her close friends and family, highlighted her passion for art, a passion she explores through her art gallery, Linea Faith Art Gallery, located in the prestigious Chevron Estate.
A former model for Nike Art Gallery and a flight attendant for a private airline, Amarachi decided three years ago to devote herself to collecting and selling art by starting her own gallery. For her, art is more than just an activity; it is a reason for living. “If I am going to do something, it has to be artistic. It was unthinkable for me to celebrate my birthday without hosting an art exhibition,” she says.
Despite studying computer science at university, Amarachi now swears by art. Coming from the world of fashion and aviation, she found a true passion in artistic creation. “I have no regrets about choosing art, even if it does not bring me financially at the moment,” she confides.
Her art exhibition thus highlighted her love for the works and her deep attachment to aesthetics. Her desire to create a link between art and the objects that surround her is a constant source of inspiration. For her, art is much more than a matter of reason, it is a question of intimate connection and deep passion.
Beyond a simple birthday celebration, Fatshimetrie Amarachi’s art exhibition revealed an artist full of talent and determination, ready to face all challenges to express her creativity and her love for artistic beauty.
