**Fatshimétrie: For increased transparency in public procurement in Kasaï-Central**

In the heart of the Kasaï-Central province in the Democratic Republic of Congo, civil society stands as a vigilant bulwark, advocating good governance and transparency in public procurement. During a recent workshop to popularize manuals on the subject, it made relevant recommendations aimed at raising awareness among local stakeholders and monitoring compliance with established procedures.

The president of the civil society consultation framework, Mr. Jean René Tshimanga, stressed the latter’s commitment to enforcing the regulations in force, thus guaranteeing the installation and effective functioning of public procurement control bodies. In a context where transparency and integrity are essential issues in the fight against corruption, this awareness-raising initiative is of paramount importance.

By calling for rigorous monitoring of public procurement procedures in Kasaï-Central, civil society is demonstrating its determination to promote sound management of public resources. It also wishes to be kept informed by the provincial authorities, thus establishing a constructive dialogue and close collaboration in the supervision of public projects and contracts.

The involvement of civil society in this workshop demonstrates a desire to actively participate in building an environment conducive to transparency and accountability. Thanks to this civic engagement, supported by the ENCORE project, the foundations of responsible and ethical governance are laid, thus offering encouraging prospects for the future of the province.

In a world where trust in institutions is essential, the mobilization of civil society in favor of transparent management of public procurement is an essential step. By encouraging dialogue and strengthening control mechanisms, it contributes to forging a future where integrity and probity are cardinal values. Kasaï-Central, through this civic dynamic, is on a virtuous trajectory towards an exemplary public administration.
