President Félix Tshisekedi presented, last Tuesday, the results of the survey conducted by the National Business Climate Barometer (BNCA) on 13 sectors of the national economy. This report shows that the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) obtained a satisfaction rate of 37%, proving that the country is improving in terms of business climate.
The Head of State praised the quality of the work carried out by the BNCA and urged the various parties involved to play their role for a clean and attractive business environment for foreign partners. Félix Tshisekedi also stressed the importance of public officials, both political and administrative, in improving the business climate as permanent agents of public service and administration.
The BNCA also presented its report, setting out some of the factors that have most influenced the business environment, such as taxation, judicial security, quality of administration, among others. Recommendations were also made for the development of a roadmap of appropriate reforms.
The BNCA, a tool for the overall assessment of the economic ecosystem in the DRC and interface between the President of the Republic and the business world, is a lever of action for questions and initiatives relating to the improvement of the business climate.
In short, this report shows that the DRC is on the right track in terms of improving the business environment and that actions must be taken to ensure that this climate continues to improve.
