Responsibility for mobilizing administrative revenues is a major issue for the proper functioning of the State. As part of the performance contract for the year 2024, the General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, Property and Participation Revenues (DGRAD) has set ambitious objectives, requiring close collaboration with the various ministries concerned.
The press release recently published by the DGRAD highlights the amount remaining to be mobilized, i.e. approximately 2,124,689,815,372.70 FC out of a total of 4,264,676,130,339.00 FC provided for in the performance contract. This situation highlights the importance of the efforts to be made to achieve the objectives set and thus guarantee the means necessary for the policy of the Head of State.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the DGRAD and the tax assessment services underlines the need for effective coordination to maximize tax resources. Each ministry, as a tax department, is assigned specific objectives, with the aim of reaching and even exceeding the budgetary allocations set by the 2024 Finance Act.
Deputy Director General Christine Epoluke emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the DGRAD and the tax departments to ensure the achievement of financial objectives. She encourages the establishment of efficient mobilization strategies to support government policy and meet the country’s financing needs.
This approach demonstrates the desire to strengthen public revenue management and optimize tax performance. Regular assessment of progress made and any difficulties encountered will make it possible to adjust the strategies put in place and ensure better management of the State’s financial resources.
Ultimately, the mobilization of administrative revenue is of crucial importance for the development and economic stability of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is through effective coordination and collective efforts that the objectives set can be achieved, thus contributing to the realization of the country’s political and economic ambitions.
