Fatshimétrie, September 01, 2024 – Generosity and commitment to education have recently taken on their full meaning at Mushie Primary School, located in the commune of Lingwala, in the heart of Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Indeed, a commendable initiative called “Let’s go to school” was launched by a non-profit association, helping students by offering them school supplies for the start of the school year.
Led by Carmela Ikuninza, president of the eponymous foundation, this act of solidarity aims to give children the tools they need to approach the new 2024-2025 school year with serenity and enthusiasm. Beyond simple objects, these supplies symbolize a chance for each student to embark on an educational adventure with the resources essential to their success.
Carmela Ikuninza, spokesperson for this noble cause, also called for the mobilization of the community to support the actions of the Foundation, in order to guarantee the continuity of these acts of generosity in favor of the children attending the Mushie public school. She stressed the importance of nurturing the aspirations and determination of the younger generations, a true engine of progress and hope for the future of the entire society.
Beyond the delivery of school supplies, the “Carmela Ikuninza” Foundation has also committed to the rehabilitation of the sanitary facilities of the Mushie primary school, offering students a clean and hygienic environment conducive to their academic and personal development.
In conclusion, this initiative attests not only to the desire to promote access to education for all, but also to the importance of civic and solidarity commitment towards future generations. The seeds of hope planted at Mushie Elementary School carry the promise of a better future, shaped by education, generosity and community support.
