Closing ceremony of the Command and General Staff School: A tribute to military excellence in Africa

Fatshimetrie, August 30, 2024: The highlight of the day, the closing ceremony of the 35th class of the Command and Staff School in Kinshasa, was a true tribute to the excellence and dedication of future African military officers. Under the auspices of the Deputy Minister of Defense, the solemnity of the occasion highlighted the crucial importance of training these security professionals in a constantly changing context.

In a vibrant speech, Deputy Minister Samy Adubango underlined the commitment of the ECEM to quality training, guaranteeing the strengthening of human capacities in the fields of defense and security. This is an essential investment for the future of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries, represented by the graduates of this class from Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Gabon and the Republic of Congo.

The graduation ceremony, an official testimony to the six months of effort and commitment of these officers in training, was a moment filled with emotion and recognition. The parchment symbolizes more than an individual success, it embodies a major step forward for security and defense on the African continent.

Lieutenant-General Richard Kasonga, representative of the Chief of the General Staff of the FARDC, stressed the strategic importance of this training in a context where security challenges are numerous.
