When asked about never being nominated for elimination on the reality show, the host asked her: “You were never put in danger on the reality show; did you think your elimination was unfair?”
In response, Ufuoma revealed that she now sees her non-victory as a blessing in disguise and is relieved that she did not win the competition at the time. She also humorously pointed out that her mother did not want her to win the prize money for fear that it would lead her astray.
She said: “I’m glad I didn’t win because there was nothing I could have done at the time that would have made me win the game. If the fans were praying for me to win, the woman who gave birth to me was praying to God saying, ‘If this child is going to win this money and go astray, because she’s gone astray before. If she’s going to win this money and go astray, please God don’t give it to her.'”
The actress highlighted how her life and career have evolved in a positive way since then, acknowledging that she may not have had the maturity to effectively manage the amount of money at the time.
“God’s timing is the best and we are happy that we have now won much more than that money. If I had it back then, I probably wouldn’t have known what to do with it. I didn’t have the experience to make something impactful in my life, so yes, so far I am winning in life,” she explained.
